Sosta House
EST. 2023
Beaverton, Oregon
A sibling-run, art and hospitality project located on the vineyard planted by their grandparents in the late 1960s, Sosta House welcomes visitors to stay, share a meal or a glass of wine, and savor a slower pace among the Willamette Valley vines.
Reasons To Go
-
Find a Home Away from Home
Owners Mia and Nico Ponzi Hamacher have opened the house built by their grandfather to guests, who can look forward to a hand-written welcome note, vases filled with wildflowers, and a restful stay in one of three light-filled, modern spaces.
-
Breakfast Everyday
Breakfast is included with every stay, no need to go looking for it. The menu shifts with the season and the whims of the garden. Guests can enjoy it in their rooms, out on the deck, or in the great room if they’re in the mood for company.
-
Linger Over Supper
Seasonal, four-course wine dinners are served in Sosta House’s Great Room on Thursdays and Sundays, with dishes like homemade capellini with sungold tomatoes plucked from the veggie garden paired with local wines.
-
Pack A Picnic Blanket
Warmer months see the Summer Sounds concert series at the vineyard local bands, regional chefs, and sips from the winery next door. There’s also a fun-filled Fig Festival each August, with costumes, games, fig-centric fare, and even a Miss Fig pageant.

What Rings True — The Cowbell Difference
“Sosta House is, above all, a home. We live here, our artist residents live here. We treat our guests like friends who are visiting, it’s very informal, warm and familial. Our focus is on the moment, taking great care of the people that are here right now… Our advice: book your stay for at least two nights to get a real sense of the place. Include a Thursday or Sunday so we can cook for you, bring a good book, someone you love and your farm boots.”
— Nico and Mia Ponzi Hamacher, Co-Owners
Agriculture
The grounds are home to some of the oldest vines in the region still sustainably farmed by the family. Guests can expect to see parts of the wine-making process in person depending on the time of year, like grapes being delivered to the crush pad during the harvest.
Locality
Sosta House partners with local farmers, fishers, and artisans committed to sustainability and quality. With help from nearby collaborators, guests enjoy a true taste of the Willamette Valley—from food to wine.
Enrichment
In addition to bed-and-breakfast guests, Sosta House also hosts an Artist Residency, inviting makers to live in, collaborate with, and be inspired by the bed-and-breakfast and the Willamette Valley while exploring their practice.

Co-Owners
Sosta House is owned and operated by brother-sister duo Nico and Mia Ponzi Hamacher. The home and vineyard was created by their grandparents in the 1960s and beloved by their family for more than 50 years. The pair took over in 2023 with the goal of breathing new life into this special place, and opening its doors to others. They share their property with and are part of Winery Lane Collective, a multi-generational, collaborative winemaking space with a modern wine bar and small food market.
